Anti-Static Foam Gasket
Anti-Static Foam Gasket
Polyethylene foams are one of many materials we can use for gasket production, including anti static polyethylene foam gaskets. It’s a very durable material, which can be manufactured in a range of colours, densities and grades for use in many different applications.
One of the grades available from ASG is Anti static Polyethylene, sometimes also called Ethafoam or Pink Anti static Polyethylene foam, which is recognisable by its pink colour, manufactured in sheet and roll form in thicknesses up to around 50mm, from which gaskets can be cut.
Our anti static polyethylene foam gaskets are produced in-house by our expertly trained workforce using state of the art machinery and the highest quality materials. We can manufacture bespoke items to match our customers specifications, using samples or drawings, from a simple rectangular picture frame gasket, to a more complex shape with notches, bolt holes and cut-outs - we can offer a solution. Whether it’s a small sample batch or a multi-thousand run, we have a machine to quickly and accurately produce perfectly formed gaskets in a range of sizes, these include a number of presses and CNC machines. Our anti static Polyethylene foam gaskets can be produced plain or with a choice of finishes including foils and choice of self adhesives.

What Are Anti Static Polyethylene Foam Gaskets?
Anti Static Polyethylene foam (Ethafoam) is pink coloured (dyed) non-cross linked, closed cell, polyethylene, combined with an antistatic agent (surfactant), designed for the packaging and transportation of static sensitive electronic components and devices such as circuit boards, computer chips, etc as it doesn’t generate static charge when it rubs against itself or other surfaces. Anti static PE foam can be used to convert into a number of smaller components including gaskets, an intricately cut shaped piece of material, sometimes also taken in the form of a pad, washer or strip which is placed between two surfaces to create a seal, provide cushioning or insulation.
Why Use Anti Static Polyethylene Foam Gaskets?
Anti static polyethylene foam gaskets are perfect for use wWhen transporting fragile or expensive products where protective packaging is vital in protecting the goods from damage.
This is also true for electronic components which are static sensitive which can become unusable if stored or shipped within inadequate packaging where the foam or material used wouldn’t break down static charges caused by friction. Human interaction or other items in the box.
As with all polyethylene foams, this one offers protection from impact, moisture and corrosion, but with the benefit of the anti-static agents added to the raw compound. Pink anti-static PE foam is easy to cut into gaskets, meaning they can be made into specific shaped profiles to fit around products and reduce movement.
Alternative Packaging Foams
- Convoluted or Eggbox Polyurethane
- Pick & pluck Polyurethane
- Static Dissipative Polyethylene
- Anti-static Polyurethane
- Plastazote foam
Advantages Of Using Anti Static Polyethylene Foam Gaskets
Anti Static Polyethylene foam gaskets can offer many advantages to customers and end users and comes with a lot of desirable properties including excellent strength and tear resistance, highly shock absorbent, resistance to chemicals and grease and being closed cell doesn’t support mould and bacteria growth or moisture absorption.
Pink Anti-static polyethylene foam is available in many thicknesses and can be cut down in perfectly fitting gaskets in order to fully secure and protect the products from movement, impact and most importantly damage from static charge, which in return saves customers and end-users money on having to replace damaged products.
Applications in which anti static polyethylene foam gaskets can be used include packaging electrical and surgical equipment, insulation for glazing and HVAC and automotive insulation, etc.
Benefits Of Using Anti Static Polyethylene Foam
