Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd are one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of quality pads (including fast recovery PVC foam Pads), cut from a range of non-metallic materials including various types of sponge rubber.  One of the more popular materials includes various grades of PVC Foam, one of which includes Fast Recovery PVC Foam.   Fast Recovery PVC is a closed-cell, low-density foam which has a number of excellent mechanical properties, used widely for sealing and insulation. 

Fast Recovery PVC Foam is manufactured and stocked in roll form with a choice of thicknesses between 2mm and 20mm, roll widths of 1 meter or 1.4 meters and rolls lengths of up to 130 meters long depending on the thickness from which fast recovery PVC foam pads can be cut.  As we carry out all our conversions on-site, we can cutFast Recovery PVC Foams down into bespoke sized pads.  

Regardless of the size and quantity of fast recovery PVC foam pads required, we have a number of presses, bandsaws or CNC machines that can be used to manufacture the final product.  From one-off samples to multiple 1000 batches runs, which depending on the pad size can be supplied as loosely cut parts, or kiss-cut on rolls where a high quantity is required or for use on fast-paced assembly lines.

What are Fast Recovery PVC Foam Pads?

Fast Recovery PVC Foam is made up of PVC and Polyurea compounds which are combined, heated until it expands and then cured, creating a closed-cell, low-density foam, designed to seal against air, dust and liquids. 

Fast Recovery PVC Foam as the name suggests ‘recovers’ quickly the following compression.  Using a selection of in-house machinery ASG  can produce Flame Retardant Silicone sponge square or rectangular fast recovery PVC foam pads with the option of radius corners, and also as circular or oval-shaped pads or ‘discs’,  in a range of thicknesses. 

Manufacturing fast recovery PVC foam pads in-house means we can offer the option to supply them in a plain or self-adhesive backed finish and even laminate multiple types of material together to create bespoke and unique variations.

    Why use Fast Recovery PVC Foam Pads?

    Fast recovery PVC Foam offers all the mechanical properties of the other PVC Foam which include UV resistance, low-level water absorption, dimensional stability and is used to construct seals such as fast recovery PVC foam pads to prevent the ingress or escape of air, dust and liquids, but which also offers fast recovery following compression and are lightweight, flame retardant and durable. 

    The fast recovery property makes these pads perfect for use as moisture seals and within filtration systems, as the material will bounce back to its original shape and size following compression, reducing the time air, dust and moisture has to escape.
