WRAS EPDM Seals
WRAS EPDM Seals
Advanced Seals & Gaskets takes great pride in producing some of the highest quality EPDM rubber sealsin the UK from a range of materials, taking the form of gaskets, washers, O-rings and extrusions, which are all designed for the purpose of preventing leaks or ingress of air, fluids and gas.
One such material is EPDM, used to manufacture EPDM rubber seals. EPDM rubber is available in a range of grades and hardnesses, one of which includes WRAS approved EPDM (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) which is suitable for contact with wholesome water and is commonly used in applications involving water for human consumption.
All our WRAS EPDM rubber seals are made to order and are based on samples or drawings provided by customers to ensure the final product perfectly fits the application.
As each form of seal needs to be manufactured using a different process, ASG has invested heavily in various machinery meaning we can produce both high and low volume WRAS solid EPDM rubber seals, designed for use with sealing against dust, air, moisture and contamination, gap-filling between uneven surfaces or for reducing unwanted noise and vibration.
What are WRAS Solid EPDM Rubber Seals?
WRAS approved EPDM rubber seals has been specially formulated and manufactured as a safe material for use within potable water applications for human consumption, adhering to BS6920-1:2000 and BS 6920-1:2014 'Suitability of non-metallic materials and products for use in contact and with water intended for human consumption with regard to their effect on the quality of the water'.
WRAS approved EPDM rubber seals is manufactured with a cloth impression on both faces and offers an impervious surface ensuring water remains contained.
WRAS solid EPDM rubber seals are a device or substrate that is used to join surfaces together to either act as a separator or a barrier to prevent liquids, particles or gases from escaping or penetrating the application.
‘Seal’ is a generic term for products often taking the form of cut gaskets, strips, washers, extruded profiles and cord, all manufactured using the same material.

Different Grades Available
There are various ways in which our customers utilize acoustic foam gaskets, these include sound absorption. Due to its excellent sound dampening properties, acoustic foam gaskets are often used for fittings within marine applications, recording studios, acoustic/compressor or generator enclosures, etc.
Many industries also utilize acoustic foam gaskets for insulation, vibration control and cushioning due to the materials exceptional fire resistance properties (Surface Spread of Flame Class 1 BS 476 part 7 and Building Regulations 1991 (fire safety) Class 0 BS 476 part 6&7).
These include heating & ventilation, construction, automotive, and electrical equipment and appliance manufacturing.
