Nylon Fabric Strip
Nylon Fabric Strip
Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd, we supply nylon fabric strips in a selection of grades, and with a thickness range of 0.5mm to 3mm. Nylon fabric textiles are thermoplastic materials similar to silk that can be melted to produce different shapes and films. In addition to its high resistance to molds, mildew, and chemicals, its high wear and heat resistant properties make nylon fabric a popular choice in a range of applications. Our nylon fabric strips can be manufactured plain, or self-adhesive backed with a peel-able liner on one or both sides.
Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets Limited, whether we manufacture as a one-off or in large quantities, we work closely with our customers to provide a completely bespoke service. Utilizing state-of-the-art machinery and a highly trained workforce, we produce top quality products to meet a wide range of specifications.
Nylon Fabric textiles are available from us in many forms including:

What are Nylon Fabric Textiles?
The term nylon refers to a family of synthetic polymers commonly used to produce a variety of products. In contrast to organic fibres or semi-synthetic fibres, nylon fibres are entirely synthetic, which means they do not originate from organic materials.
Nylon fabric is composed of a long chain of carbon-based molecules called monomers. There are several types of nylon, but the majority are derived from polyamide monomers found in crude oil, commonly referred to as petroleum. Among other things, nylon fabric textiles are widely used in seatbelts and tire cords because of their durability and ability to retain their shape after getting wet.
Why use Nylon Fabric Strips?
A nylon fabric strip is a length of material cut to a specific requirement. The use of nylon textile fabrics strips provides a variety of benefits, such as noise dampening properties, elasticity, mold resistance, durability, and good heat resistance.
Nylon is often chosen to replace bronze, brass, aluminium, or steel parts due to its easy conversion, low cost and high performance in demanding environments. A number of industries utilize nylon fabric textiles, including the automotive and medical industry.
Different Grades of Nylon Fabric Textiles
Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd, we work closely with a network of suppliers and manufacturers to ensure we offer a wide variety of products while keeping lead-times to a minimum. Grades of nylon fabric textiles available from us include:
Benefits of using Nylon Fabric Textiles?
- Durable
- High elasticity
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Highly resilient
- High resistance to insects, fungi, animals, as well as Molds, mildew, rot, and many chemicals
- Melts instead of burning
- Good Heat Resistance

Advantages of using Nylon Fabric Strips
No matter what grade of nylon you purchase, it is an extremely durable and strong material, stronger than some metals. A further benefit of nylon fabric textiles is their elasticity, allowing them to be easily shaped and moulded into a range of shapes and sizes.
Due to their strength, durability and elasticity, nylon polymers are widely used in a variety of applications, including flooring, rubber reinforcement, moulded parts for electrical equipment, and food packaging films.
