Flame-retardant neoprene sponge strips—sometimes referred to as foam strip, gasket strip, gasket tape, isolation strip, weather strip, glazing strip, sealing strips, or foam tape—are all produced in-house by our highly skilled workforce using state-of-the-art machinery.

By following customer samples, drawings, or provided dimensions, we can produce made-to-measure FR neoprene sponge strips using our band saws, strippers, log cutters, and presses, depending on the required size and quantity. Our in-house production ensures the highest quality, competitively priced flame-retardant neoprene sponge strips.

Our flame-retardant neoprene sponge strips are cut from sheets or rolls, starting at just 1mm thick. We can produce strips from just 4mm in width and in lengths from a millimetre up to 50 meters, depending on thickness. During production, we can laminate layers of neoprene (FR) sponge for greater depths and supply the final strips with either a plain or self-adhesive finish.

    What Are Flame Retardant Neoprene Sponge Strips?

    Flame-retardant neoprene sponge, sometimes referred to as polychloroprene or CR, is a versatile, grey, closed-cell material used to manufacture a wide range of products. The strips are produced from blocks of material, split to the required thickness, and then cut into neoprene sponge strips.

    ASG can produce strips in any size or quantity using state-of-the-art machinery:

    • Bandsaw: For shorter or thicker strips

    • Log cutter: For thinner strips in longer coil/roll lengths

    • Press or kiss-cut machine: For very small or thin strips

    During manufacturing, flame-retardant neoprene sponge strips can also be finished with foils, self-adhesives, or laminated with other materials to enhance mechanical properties.

    • EPDM/Neoprene Blend: Combines EPDM’s weathering and outdoor resistance with neoprene’s oil and chemical resistance, perfect for outdoor sealing.
