Semi Open Cell EPDM Sponge Rubber is an exceptionally soft and flexible grade of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), created using a specialist process that produces a blend of open and closed cells throughout the structure. This unique composition results in a material that is softer, easier to compress, and more adaptable than standard closed-cell EPDM sponge rubbers.
The semi-open cell structure is achieved by “bursting” some of the closed cells during manufacturing, resulting in enhanced compressibility and flexibility. These properties make Semi Open Cell EPDM Sponge Strips ideal for both internal and external sealing applications, especially where minimal compression force is available or required.
Available in continuous rolls, coils, or cut lengths, these strips perform like gaskets, providing an effective seal between uneven surfaces while also serving as an anti-vibration and acoustic insulation solution.
