Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam
Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam
Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets Limited, we maintain a close relationship with a variety of suppliers, allowing us to provide a wide variety of materials that can be tailored to meet the requirements of our customers. One such material is our cross-linked polyethylene foam. Cross-linked polyethylene foam is a lightweight, closed-cell material that exhibits a variety of resistance and insulation properties. Our cross-linked polyethylene foam is manufactured in blocks 2 meters by 1 meter with skin on both sides. It can be produced in thicknesses from 3mm to 100mm (thicker using lamination), and can be manufactured plain, with self-adhesive backing, or with a peel-able liner on one or both sides.
Whether we manufacture as a one-off or in large quantities, we work closely with our customers throughout the manufacturing process to provide a completely bespoke service. In addition, we perform all conversions on site, providing complete quality control at all stages of the process. Utilizing state-of-the-art machinery and a highly trained workforce, we produce top quality products to meet a wide range of specifications.
Cross-linked polyethylene foam is available from us in many forms including:

What is Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam?
Cross-linked Polyethylene foam is a popular foam available in many grades and thicknesses. Sometimes referred to as just PE foam, it is a durable, water resistant, flexible, and lightweight material used in a range of applications. In cross-linked polyethylene foam, the molecules are joined by chemical bonds, forming a three-dimensional structure. To create a durable bond, the polymers are chained together and heated to form the "cross-linked" structure.
Benefits of Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam?
- Lightweight and strong
- Soft and flexible
- Good impact and shock absorbing properties
- Water resistant
- Good insulation properties
- Vibration dampening
- High resistance to wear and tear
- Noise control
- Excellent low-temperature impact
Why use Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam?
Cross-linked polyethylene foam is a strong and resilient closed cell foam that offers noise control, weather resistant and non-toxic properties. Due to these desirable properties, non-cross-linked foam can be used in a variety of applications, such as insulation or mechanical engineering. Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam offers uncompromised dimensional stability, so it is easy to convert into a wide range of shapes, densities and thicknesses meeting a range of customer specifications.
