Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape
Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape
Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape is made up of conformable tissue carrier, coated on both sides with a high tack hot melt rubber adhesive and laminated to a release paper/liner. The tissue liner soaks up the adhesive allowing the tape to adhesive quickly creating a strong bond and instant adhesion. Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd are able to manufacture a wide variety of products with Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape including:
- Sheet
- Rolls
- Strip
- Coils
- Gaskets
- Pads
Most of the above products can be manufactured using a range of our solid, sponge, PVC and polyethylene products, with either single of double sided self-adhesive backing. Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape products can be found widely used in a number of applications including the manufacture of sealing strips/tapes, mounting lightweight trim, laminating to sponge/foam/paper to create double sided tape products, bonding insulation panels, joining plastic sheets, etc.
Key Characteristics of Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape:

What are Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape
Hot melt tissue adhesive tapes, also known as hot melt paper tapes, are a type of adhesive tape that combines a tissue paper backing with a hot melt adhesive. These tapes are widely used in various applications for their strong bonding properties and versatility. Here are the key components and characteristics of hot melt tissue adhesive tapes:
Key Components:
Tissue Paper Backing: The backing material of hot melt tissue adhesive tapes is made of tissue paper, which is thin, lightweight, and flexible. Tissue paper is often chosen for its ease of handling and tearability, making it suitable for various applications.
Hot Melt Adhesive: The adhesive used in these tapes is a hot melt adhesive. Hot melt adhesives are thermoplastic compounds that are solid at room temperature but soften when heated. When applied to the tissue paper backing and cooled, they provide a strong and durable bond.
Key Features
Hot Melt Adhesive: The tape features a hot melt adhesive that offers rapid bonding, ensuring a strong and permanent bond on various surfaces, including paper, cardboard, plastics, fabrics, and more.
Tissue Paper Backing: The tissue paper backing provides flexibility, ease of handling, and conformability, making it suitable for various applications and surfaces.
Versatility: Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape is suitable for a wide range of applications, including packaging, bookbinding, woodworking, textiles, and general assembly tasks.
Clean Application: Designed for user-friendly handling, it allows for precise positioning and bonding without the mess associated with traditional adhesives.
Temperature Resistance: It maintains its adhesive properties over a range of temperatures, ensuring reliable performance in different environmental conditions.
Customization: Various thicknesses, widths, and roll lengths are available to accommodate specific project requirements. Custom formulations and die-cut shapes can be tailored to your needs.
Why use Acoustic foam gaskets?
Customization: The tissue paper backing of this tape is printable, allowing for easy customization. It can be used for product labeling, incorporating logos, barcodes, or other information, enhancing branding and information dissemination.
Versatility: Hot melt tissue adhesive tape is versatile and adaptable to various applications, from sealing packages to labeling products, splicing materials, bookbinding, and more. Its adaptability makes it a valuable tool across different industries.
Economical: It is a cost-effective solution for packaging and labeling needs. The tape is generally affordable, and its quick application helps save labor costs, making it a cost-efficient choice for businesses.
Environmental Friendliness: The tissue paper backing is biodegradable, contributing to its eco-friendly appeal. This is especially important for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact and adopt sustainable practices.
Applications:
- Packaging: Widely used in the packaging industry for sealing boxes, cartons, and packages, ensuring secure transportation and storage of contents.
- Bookbinding: Ideal for bookbinding applications, securely bonding pages and covers in the production of books, magazines, and catalogs.
- Woodworking: Trusted in woodworking for edgebanding, veneer applications, and laminating, providing efficient and durable bonding solutions.
- Textiles: Suitable for textile and apparel manufacturing, including bonding fabric components, attaching labels, and seam sealing.
- General Assembly: Used for general assembly and bonding tasks in manufacturing processes across various industries, improving production efficiency and product quality.
Advantages of Using Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape
Using hot melt tissue adhesive tape offers several advantages across a range of applications and industries. This type of tape, characterized by its tissue paper backing and hot melt adhesive, provides numerous benefits. Here are the key advantages of using hot melt tissue adhesive tape:
Strong Bonding: Hot melt tissue adhesive tape delivers a strong and reliable bond. It adheres well to various surfaces, ensuring that items remain securely sealed or attached.
Quick Bonding: The hot melt adhesive used in this tape solidifies rapidly, providing an almost instant bond. This feature is particularly valuable in applications where efficiency and speed are crucial.
