Polyethylene Foam (100kg)
Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd work with a number of reputable suppliers who primarily manufacture and supply Polyethylene foams, meaning ASG only offers the highest quality product. We can offer Polyethylene foam in a range of material types, in many grades, densities and colours. One of more popular polyethylene (PE) material types is Expanded Closed Cell Cross Linked Polyethylene foam in a 100kg density or ‘block foam’ as it is sometimes referred to.
100kg Polyethylene foam is manufactured and stocked in block ‘bun’ form from which we can split sheets and rolls of various thicknesses starting from as little as 1.5mm. As we offer in-house conversion and lamination services, we can not only split materials down, we can also laminate layers together to produce non-standard thicknesses or composite sheets using layers of different materials, as well as being able to apply self adhesives or foil facings. Our facilities house a number of presses, log cutters, strippers, bandsaws, CNC machines and coaters, which can be used to produce a number of Polyethylene 100Kg foam products including gaskets, washers, strips, pads and fabrications.

What is Polyethylene (100kg) Foam?
Polyethylene Foam (100Kg) is a chemically cross-linked PE foam, which is part of the Thermoplastic foam family, which has a small, uniform, closed-cell structure. Polyethylene is also known as PE and LPDE (low density Polyethylene foam), it is rigid and resilient, suitable for use in a variety of applications, where a strong but lightweight foam is needed. Polyethylene Foam (100Kg) is impermeable to liquid, gases and particles, creating an effective seal. The cross-linking manufacturing process forms bonds between the polymer chains, creating the 3D structure and giving the material improved compression strength, compression set, thermal stability and tensile strength.
Why use Polyethylene (100kg) Foam?
Like other LPDE foams, 100Kg Polyethylene foam is a soft, lightweight foam with a closed cell, uniform cell structure which can be used to seal against liquid, gases and particles, which is not only denser that the other densities such as 30Kg and 60kg materials, but is also firmer, stronger and more rigid - almost board like, so can be cut and sawn into shape. Polyethylene 100kg foam has a number of desirable properties including resistance to wear and tear, Ozone, UV and a working temperature range of -60°C - +90°C. It also offers excellent mechanical characteristics including noise and vibration control and can be used for thermal insulation.
Different Grades of Polyethylene Available

Benefits of using Polyethylene (100Kg) Foam?
- Lightweight, strong & durable
- Good impact and shock-absorbing properties
- Water repellent and buoyant
- Excellent chemical, solvent, grease and fluid resistance
- Good thermal and acoustic insulation
- Easy to cut, convert & shape
Advantages of using Polyethylene (100Kg) Foam
When using Polyethylene (100Kg) foam, customers benefit from a number of advantages and are highly utilised in numerous industries and applications from seals and gaskets to theatre and production props. Polyethylene foam is a man-made material, designed to suit a range of requirements and is available in a choice of grades, densities and in some cases a choice of colours. The PE foam has a closed cell structure which can be used in sealing applications against liquid, gases and particles.
Polyethylene 100KG foam also has a number of desirable properties including a high resistance to wear and tear, Ozone, UV, resilience to repeated impact and a working temperature range of -60°C to +90°C. It also offers excellent mechanical characteristics including noise and vibration control, for shock absorption and can be used for thermal insulation. Polyethylene (100kg) foam is aesthetically pleasing, with a nice texture which is easy to fabricate, laminate and cut into parts using a range of techniques and processes for use within the theatrics, building and construction, HVAC, automotive and sports industries.
