EVA 45KG Polyethylene Foam
EVA 45KG Polyethylene Foam
Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd work with a multitude of reputable material manufacturers enabling us to offer materials in a choice of grades, densities and colours. One of our popular materials are Polyethylene or PE foams, which includes EVA 45KG Polyethylene foam or ‘EVA block foam’ as it is sometimes referred to. EVA 45kg Polyethylene foams are a cross linked material which look virtually identical to standard Polyethylene, however these EVA foams are stronger and more resilient due to the EV OR ethylene vinyl acetate content.
EVA 45kg Polyethylene foam is produced by a copolymerization reaction between vinyl acetate and ethylene, resulting in a versatile material which can be used as an alternative to other materials. EVA 45kg Polyethylene is manufactured and stocked in block or ‘bun’ form from which we can convert sheets and rolls at various thicknesses starting from as little as 1.5mm. As we offer in-house conversion and lamination services, we can not only split materials down, we can also laminate layers together to create very thick products or laminates using multiple materials and apply self adhesives or foil facings. Our onsite facilities consists of a number of presses, log cutters, strippers, bandsaws and CNC machines from which we can produce a number of EVA Polyethylene 45kg foam products including gaskets, washers, strips, pads and fabrications.

What is EVA 45KG Polyethylene Foam?
EVA 45kg Polyethylene, like other polyethylene foams are manufactured in block or ‘bun’ form, in a range of densities and colours for use in different applications. 45KG EVA PE foam, which is part of the Thermoplastic foam family, has a small, uniform, closed-cell structure making the material impermeable to liquid, gasses and particles, creating an effective seal. The cross-linking process forms bonds between the polymer chains, creating the 3D structure and giving the material improved compression strength, compression set, thermal stability and tensile strength. EVA 45kg Polyethylene is manufactured the same way as standard PE foams, but with the EV additive mixed into the compound creating a noticeable ‘rubbery/spongy’ feel and improved recovery of the material making it suitable for more demanding applications.
Why use EVA 45KG Polyethylene Foam?
EVA 45Kg Polyethylene foam is a soft, lightweight foam with a closed cell, uniform cell structure which can be used to seal against liquid, gasses and particles, which is not only denser that the 24Kg and 30Kg materials, but is also firmer and stronger with improved tear resistance and compression recovery thanks the EVA additive mixed into the raw compound. Polyethylene 45kg foam has a number of desirable properties including resistance to wear and tear, Ozone, UV and a working temperature range of -60°C - +90°C.
It also offers excellent mechanical characteristics including noise and vibration control and can be used for thermal insulation. Although softer than some other PE foams, EVA 45KG Polyethylene is more resilient and durable enabling it to absorb impact and pressure without deteriorating or tearing.
