Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive Tape
Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd manufacture and supply a diverse range of self-adhesive tapes and products including Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive Tape.
Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive Tape doesn't have a carrier, so the adhesive is coated as a film directly onto the release liner. The release line has silicone coated on both sides to allow the roll to be quickly and easily unwound. Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive is malleable as doesn't have a carrier or extra later running through it, and creates a much thinner product. Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd are able to manufacture a wide variety of products with Hot Melt Tissue Adhesive Tape including:
- Sheet
- Rolls
- Strip
- Coils
- Gaskets
- Pads
Most of the above products can be manufactured using a range of our solid, sponge, PVC and polyethylene products, with either single of double sided self-adhesive backing. Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive Tape products can be found widely used in a number of applications including the manufacture of sealing strips/tapes, mounting lightweight trim, laminating to sponge/foam/paper to create double sided tape products, bonding insulation panels, joining plastic sheets, etc.
Key Characteristics of Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive Tape:
- Low cost
- General purpose use
- Cleaner/easier to use compared to brush/spray on adhesives
- Excellent bonding strength
- Ideal for uneven/difficult surfaces

What Are Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive tape?
Hot melt transfer adhesive tape is a type of adhesive tape that is designed with a unique adhesive system known as a hot melt adhesive. This adhesive is applied to a release liner and then covered with a release coating on the other side. The release liner is typically made of silicone-coated paper or film. Hot melt transfer adhesive tape is used in a wide range of applications due to its strong and reliable bonding capabilities. Here are some key characteristics and uses of hot melt transfer adhesive tape:
Hot Melt Adhesive: The adhesive used in hot melt transfer tape is a hot melt adhesive, which is a thermoplastic material that softens when heated and solidifies upon cooling. This adhesive system provides a strong and durable bond. Release Liner: Hot melt transfer tapes have a release liner on one side, which is typically made of silicone-coated paper or film. The release liner protects the adhesive until it is ready to be used. Release Coating: The other side of the tape is typically coated with a release coating, which ensures that the tape does not stick to itself when it is wound on a roll.
Why Use Hot Melt Transfer Adhesive Tape?
Hot melt transfer adhesive tape is used for various reasons across different industries and applications due to its unique characteristics and benefits. Here are the primary reasons why hot melt transfer adhesive tape is commonly used:
Strong Bonding: Hot melt transfer adhesive tape offers a strong and reliable bond, ensuring that materials and components remain securely attached. This makes it suitable for applications where a durable and long-lasting bond is essential.
Efficiency: The hot melt adhesive used in this type of tape solidifies quickly, resulting in a fast bond. This efficiency is crucial in manufacturing and production processes, where time is of the essence. Versatility: Hot melt transfer adhesive tape is versatile and adaptable to a wide range of materials, including plastics, metals, paper, and more. Its compatibility with various substrates makes it a practical choice in many industries.
