Seals
Advanced Seals and Gaskets produce some of the highest quality seals in the UK, taking the forms of gaskets, washers, O-rings, cord and extrusions, all designed for the purpose of preventing leaks or the entrance of air, fluids and gas. All our seals are bespoke and made to order and are based on samples or drawings provided by our customers to ensure the final product perfectly fits the application. As each form of seal needs to be manufactured using a different process, ASG has invested heavily in various machinery meaning we can produce both high and low volumes to suit your order requirements.
What are Seals?
Seals are a device that is used to join surfaces together, acting as a separator or a barrier to prevent liquids, particles or gases from escaping or penetrating the application. ‘Seal’ is a generic term for products often taking the form of cut gaskets, strips, washers, extruded or moulded profiles, edge trims and cord. Most of the seals produced by Advanced Seals and Gaskets can be supplied with a choice of self-adhesives which assists with the placement of the seal and to hold it in position. Why use Seals?
Seals are designed to prevent the escape or entry of dust, air, liquids or gases when compressed between irregular surfaces – very much used in the same way as a gasket. Seals can also be used as an aid for shock, noise and vibration dampening in a range of industries. Our seals can commonly be found used in valves, pumps, engines, machinery, electrical appliances – in fact, seals are used in all applications where there is a risk of leakage, where harmful or toxic liquids & gases are present, or where components need to be kept separate or for protection of moving parts.
Benefits of Using Seals
