EVA Polyethylene foam looks similar to standard polyethylene foam but is stronger and more resilient due to its Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) content. Manufactured through a copolymerization reaction between ethylene and vinyl acetate, this versatile material serves as an excellent alternative to PVC and polyurethane foams.

Manufacturing Process and Strip Conversion

EVA Polyethylene foam is produced and stocked in block or bun form, which can be split into sheets of various thicknesses, starting from as little as 1.5mm. Rolls can also be created by joining blocks before breaking, which allows them to be converted into cut strips up to 100 meters in length.

All EVA PE foam strips, also known as gasket tapes, sealing strips, or foam tapes, are made to order using state-of-the-art machinery, including:

  • Band saws

  • Strippers

  • Log cutters

  • Presses

For small, high-volume strips, a kiss-cut option is available for faster production. Our in-house production ensures consistent quality and competitive pricing. Additionally, our on-site laminating service allows us to supply plain strips, or ones coated on one or both faces with self-adhesives, foils, or laminated to other materials.

    What are EVA Polyethylene Foam Strips?

    EVA Polyethylene Foam Strips are cut-to-length pieces of foam supplied as requested by our customers, or as continuous rolls or coils for end-user cutting. They are commonly used like gaskets to create seals, cushioning, or insulation between surfaces.

    EVA PE foam is a cross-linked polyethylene foam with a fine closed-cell structure. This makes it impervious to air and liquids, lightweight, elastic, and highly resilient to stretching and compression. Compared to standard PE foam, EVA foam strips are smoother, more durable, and recover better from impact.
