Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd work with a wide network of material manufacturers, enabling us to offer a vast range of high-quality solid rubber materials, including various specialist grades of silicone, one of which is flame Rretardant silicone rubber, used to manufacture flame retardant silicone rubber sheets.
Flame retardant silicone rubber is manufactured in 1-meter x 1-meter sheets, in a range of standard thicknesses between 1mm and 8mm.
Our onsite facilities house a range of state of the art conversion machinery including a range of presses, CNC machines, slitting machines and log cutters, enabling us to take these sheets and cut them into various parts including cut strips, pads, washers and gaskets for use in a multitude of applications.
What are Flame Retardant Silicone Rubber sheets?
Silicone (SI) rubber is available in various grades including those formulated for use in specific industries, requiring additional properties such as Flame Retardancy.
Flame Retardant Silicone rubber can be used for direct heat and flame applications, offering self-extinguishing properties (at 3mm thick) and meets the following standards: UL94V0 flammability standards. It also conforms to BS6853, Cal 1A as well as TS EN 45 545-2 safety standards.
Flame retardant silicone rubber can be supplied in cut parts or taken as full sheets for customers to cut their own sheets down as and when required.

Why use Flame Retardant Silicone Rubber sheets?
Silicone rubber materials are excellent for cutting high-performance mechanical seals and gaskets which can operate at high and low temperatures with a working temperature range of -55°C to + 230°C, whilst performing well when exposed to UV, weathering, ozone and moisture.
Flame retardant silicone rubber is made using the same formulation as standard silicone rubber, but incorporating additives to give the material flame resistant and self-extinguishing properties.
Flame retardant silicone rubber sheets can be cut down into finished products such as gaskets and washers or can be taken in full for customers to cut their own parts as and when required.
