Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd, we offer high-quality rubber strips, all manufactured using some of the latest starts of the art machinery.

Flame Retardant Silicone Rubber strips are just one of 1000’s products we are able to produce in-house, which are all made to order, manufactured using one of our many machines including bandsaws, strippers, log cutters and even presses depending on the size and quantity required - for very small strips in high volume runs, a kiss-cut option may also be available for a quicker turnaround. 

Flame Retardant Silicone Strips can be produced in thicknesses ranging from 1mm through to 8mm, in widths starting from as little as 4mm and in lengths up to 1 meter long.  

On-site production allows us to closely oversee the whole production process to ensure that we constantly produce high quality, competitively priced strips, supplied in a choice of finishes including foils, self-adhesives or laminated with other materials

What are Flame Retardant Silicone Rubber strips?

Silicone (SI) rubber is available in various grades including those formulated for use in specific industries, requiring additional properties such as Flame Retardancy. 

Flame Retardant Silicone rubber strips can be used for direct heat and flame applications, offering self-extinguishing properties (at 3mm thick) and meets the following standards: UL94V0 flammability standards. It also conforms to BS6853, Cal 1A as well as TS EN 45 545-2 safety standards.  

Flame retardant silicone rubber can be supplied in cut parts such as strips, which are pieces of the material often cut to a specific width, in pre-cut lengths or continuous coils as requested by our customers. 

Flame Retardant Silicone rubber strips are often used in a similar way to a gasket placed between two surfaces to create a seal, provide cushioning, anti-vibration or insulation.

    Why use Flame Retardant Silicone Rubber strips?

    Silicone rubber materials are excellent for cutting high-performance mechanical seals and strips which can operate at high and low temperatures with a working temperature range of -55°C to + 230°C, whilst performing well when exposed to UV, weathering, ozone and moisture.  

    Flame retardant silicone rubber is made using the same formulation as standard silicone rubber, but incorporating additives to give the material flame resistant and self-extinguishing properties. 

    Flame retardant silicone rubber can be taken as pre-cut strips or as sheets for customers to cut their own strips as and when required.
