Neoprene/EPDM sponge washers are used to create a flexible seal between two or more uneven surfaces, preventing the leakage of liquids, air, and the intrusion of debris such as dust and dirt. Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd hold Neoprene/EPDM sponge sheets and rolls as stock allowing us to convert and supply a wide range of washers with a quick turnaround.
Our expertly trained staff can manufacture Neoprene/EPDM Blend Sponge washers in thicknesses ranging from as little as 1mm using a range of state of the art machinery suitable for 1 off and 1000’s of production runs. We use bespoke tooling to ensure we can produce washers in the exact required dimensions, there are then either pressed out in individual parts or kiss-cut on rolls for speed. Where larger/thicker parts are needed that cannot be pressed, we can produce them using the CNC oscillating knife.
What are Neoprene/EPDM Blend Sponge Washers?
Washers are a flattened ring or disc placed between two joining surfaces or between a nut and a bolt in order to spread the pressure, act as a spacer/seal, relieve friction, unsteadiness, and vibration. Our Neoprene/EPDM blend sponge washers are manufactured using a high-quality, closed-cell material suitable for a variety of sealing applications, combining the excellent resistance of EPDM with the additional resistance, higher tensile strength, and flammability ratings of Neoprene.
Blended sponge rubber blends are becoming more popular as a low cost general purpose material, commonly used in a variety of applications due to its excellent properties, it is durable and can capable of withstanding heavyweight and absorbs vibrations. It is also UV, water, and air resistant which makes it an ideal product to use with the production of solar panels, construction, and other outdoor sealing

Self-adhesive Neoprene/EPDM Blend Sponge Washers
Neoprene/EPDM Blend sponge washers can be supplied plain or laminated with one ASG’s various self-adhesives. The self-adhesive is available in perm/peel (removable), low, medium, or high tack options and is supplied with a removable release paper to 1 or both faces of the sheet depending upon the application. Our Neoprene/EPDM blend sponge washers are manufactured from a high-quality blend of chemicals - Polychloroprene (Neoprene) and Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM). This combination creates a highly versatile material suitable for applications where a stable, flexible, and durable material is required.
Neoprene/EPDM blend offers resistance to UV light, ozone exposure, and weathering, its closed cell and non-porous making it air and water resistant, has excellent aging properties, good resistance to acid – however poor resistance to oil. Neoprene/EPDM blend has a wide working temperature range of -40º to + 85º and has flame retardant properties conforming to classification UL94 HF1.
This combination of properties means Neoprene/EPDM sponge washers are suitable for most internal and external applications for example heating & ventilation, white goods, automotive, electrical, sealing, etc
