Neoprene Foam Pads
Neoprene Foam Pads
Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets, we offer the best in quality and service in the production of neoprene sponge pads. We cut all neoprene sponge pads to order in our state of the art facilities, giving us the ability to work with you closely to provide the best products possible.
Our neoprene sponge is stocked in block, sheet and roll form, giving us the ability to cut pads to meet any thickness and dimensions our customer requires, from as little as 1mm to greater thicknesses made up from laminations (layers) of material. Our neoprene sponge pads can be supplied in a plain finish, or with one of many adhesives, foils or laminated to other materials.
Depending on the size of the pad, we can manufacture them as individual cut parts or kiss-cut on rolls which is not only a quicker process but also makes for a more time-efficient application for the end-user. Neoprene sponge pads are often referred to as neoprene foam pads or neoprene pads, which can be used for cushioning in noise and vibration control, sealing/gap filling against dust, air, gases, moisture and oil.
What are Neoprene Sponge Pads?
Neoprene or Polychloroprene sponge is a closed-cell, high-quality material that is durable and versatile used to produce a range of products including pads. Neoprene sponge rubber pads are generally used in the same way as gaskets where it’s used as a gap filler between surfaces to prevent the leakage of gasses, liquids and prevent the intrusion of dust. Neoprene pads can be manufactured as a basic square or rectangle, with radius corners or as circular and oval ‘discs, with a range of finishes including foils, self-adhesives or laminated with other materials.

Why use Neoprene Sponge Pads?
Neoprene sponge has a number of desirable properties making it a popular choice for use as pads, it’s closed-cell structure creates an air, dust and watertight seal under compression, with great longevity compared to other materials thanks to its excellent ageing properties, being resilient to ozone, sunlight, oxidation and UV exposure.
Neoprene sponge pads gaskets are resistant to oil, chemically inert and flame retardant, combined with being a sound and thermally insulating material, it can be found used within many building & construction, glazing, electronic and automotive applications.
Pads
ASG takes great pride in producing high-quality pads from a wide range of materials such as EPDM sponge, neoprene sponge, PVC, cork, polyethene, acoustic foam, solid rubber, plastics and many more. We produce these pads within our own facilities using our advanced machinery. Please get in touch with our team for further information on the many materials we offer.
Benefits of Neoprene Sponge Pads
- Oil, petrol & chemical resistant
- Durable
- UV, Ozone & weathering resistant
- Flame retardant
- Sound/vibration absorbing
- Closed-cell which prevents bacteria & mould growth
The Advantages of Using Neoprene Sponge Pads
There are many advantages to using neoprene sponge pads, neoprene as a material itself is long-lasting, has a wide operating temperature range of -40ºc to +115ºc, can be utilised for many indoor and outdoor applications, easy to convert and will hold self-adhesive and other backings well.
Under minimal compression, neoprene sponge pads will provide an excellent dust, gas, air and watertight seal as well as good resistance against oil and some petrol. Being a flexible and robust material, neoprene sponge pads are vastly utilised within many automotive, glazing, electronic, lighting, ventilation and building/construction applications.
Different Grades
Advanced Seals & Gaskets have a wide network of suppliers and raw material manufacturers, meaning our customers benefit from a choice of grades when looking for a solution to their sealing applications. Neoprene sponge pads can be produced not only in a medium-density neoprene but also in a Flame Retardant, Firm grade and EPDM/Neoprene Blended grade.
Firm Grade Neoprene sponge pads are closed-cell, fire resistance tested to FMVSS 302, and have a density of 180kg (+/- 25), meaning they can be used in more heavy-duty applications, where less compression is needed to create a tight seal.
Flame Retardant Neoprene pads are grey in colour, can handle continuous temperatures from -40°C to 115°C and subject to more vigorous fire testing ( FMVSS 302, UL94, AFNOR P9750), this makes the material ideal for use within construction and transport applications where a flame-resistant barrier may be required.
EPDM/Neoprene Blend sponge is an extremely versatile material, combining the properties of both types of sponge, excellent weathering and outdoor resistance of EPDM, with coils and chemical resistance of neoprene, making it the ideal choice for many outdoor sealing applications.
