This is closed-cell foam, offering excellent waterproofing, water resistance, and buoyancy. The foam retains its shape after compression, making it ideal for applications requiring durability and shape recovery. PE foam is another name for polyethylene foam.

    What is Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam?

Non-cross-linked polyethylene foam is a CFC and HCF-free material that offers excellent performance for a variety of industries. Non-cross-linked polyethylene foam is a type of closed-cell foam, which means it has a structure that provides benefits such as moisture resistance, durability, and thermal insulation. This material is non-abrasive, water-resistant, flexible, lightweight, non-absorbent, and buoyant, making it suitable for aquatic applications. It is closed-cell foam and is also known for its impact-damping foam properties.

Unlike other foams, non-cross-linked polyethylene foam is extruded. Air is injected into the manufacturing cells, which then combine with neighbouring cells to form non-cross-linked polyethylene foam. It is commonly used to make pads, crash pads, and kneeling pads for various industries.

Benefits of Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam Sheets?

    • Lightweight, strong & durable
    • Good impact and shock-absorbing properties
    • Water resistant
    • Excellent sound and heat insulation properties
    • Ideal for protecting wood products, such as wood frames, during shipping
    • Popular as an easy foam solution for DIY projects due to its affordability and ease of use
    • Widely used in the automotive industry for noise, vibration, and thermal insulation
    • Vibration dampening
    • Clean and non-abrasive
    • Low cost
    • Environmentally friendly
    • CFC and HCF are free

Why use Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam Sheets?

Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam Sheets are resilient, eco-friendly and non-toxic. Our customers commonly use sheets to create their own products, which close gaps and irregularities between surfaces.

In addition, they can also be used to prevent unwanted noise and vibration, as well as to create seals against air, gas, dust, and liquids. Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam offers uncompromised dimensional stability and excellent ability to retain its shape after compression, making it ideal for applications where long-term support and shape recovery are essential. The foam can be easily converted into pads for cushioning, impact absorption, and protective layers. High-density options are available for more demanding industrial and commercial applications, providing enhanced durability and impact resistance. It is easy to convert into a wide range of shapes, densities and thicknesses.

Different Grades of Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam Sheets

Here at Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd, we work closely with a network of suppliers and manufacturers to ensure we offer a wide range of PE foam products while keeping lead times to a minimum. Our standard products include foam sheets in various thicknesses to suit different applications. There are many grades of non-cross-linked polyethylene foam available, including:

    • Anti-Static
    • Jiffy Foam
    • Ethafoam
    • Stratocell
    • Stratocell Plus

Foam sheets can be supplied in various thicknesses to meet specific customer needs.

Advantages of using Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam Sheets

Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam is a high-quality, lightweight material with superior impact and shock-absorbing properties. It is widely used as impact-damping foam in protective applications. The foam is commonly used to fabricate pads, crash pads, gym mats, and kneeling pads for sports, fitness, and safety applications. Its sound insulation properties make it suitable for soundproofing and noise reduction. The foam is buoyant, making it ideal for aquatic applications, including flotation devices and water sports equipment. It is mould- and mildew-resistant, non-absorbent, and water- and microbial-growth-resistant, ensuring durability in moist environments. High-density options are available for applications that require greater durability and impact resistance. Due to these desirable properties, Non-Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam can be used in a variety of applications for a wide range of industries. Its vibration-dampening, reusable, and water-resistant properties make it an excellent choice for a wide range of industries, such as packaging, plumbing, and sports.
