Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber is manufactured as continuous rolls of material usually in widths of 1.2 or 1.4meters and roll lengths of 5meters or 10meters depending on the material thickness which range from 0.5mm to 2mm, but as this solid rubber can be extruded, bespoke thicknesses to order, all of which can be cut down into cut strip.
Rolls of Platinum Cured Silicone can be taken in full or alternatively converted into a number of finished products including cut strips. Platinum Cured Silicone Strips are made to order, manufactured using one of our many machines including band saws, strippers, log cutters and even presses depending upon the size and quantity required - for very small strips in high volume runs, a kiss-cut option may also be available for faster production and time efficiency for the end user. On-site production allows us to closely oversee the whole production process to ensure that we consistently produce high quality, competitively priced strips.

What are Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber Strips?
Platinum Cured Silicone Strips are pieces of the material often cut to a specific width, in pre-cut lengths or continuous coils as requested by our customers, often used in a similar way to a gasket placed between two surfaces to create a seal, provide cushioning, anti-vibration or insulation.
Unlike many traditional Peroxide cured materials and rubber products, during the formulation of Platinum Cured Silicone, peroxides aren't used as part of the catalysing process. When using peroxides, traces can often remain in the raw material causing contamination and so silicone manufactured using Platinum Curing and the components cut from them are a more popular choice in industries including medical, food, drink or dairy applications as it is considered a cleaner/purer product.
Platinum Cured Silicone Strips are also translucent in colour and appearance - again perfect for the food and drink industries where visibility is crucial, it is also non-toxic and non yellowing.

Platinum Cured Silicone Strips can be used as a type of seal, where they can create air or liquid tight seals, as gap fillers for uneven surfaces. They can also be used to reduce friction between moving parts.
