Polycarbonate Strips

Polycarbonate Strip

Polycarbonate Strips

Plastic strips are a versatile component provided by ASG, available in a range of grades, colors, and thicknesses, including Polycarbonate. Polycarbonate, a thermoplastic with 'carbonate groups,' exhibits strength and durability for engineering applications.

Polycarbonate is transparent and available in sheet form, ranging from 0.7mm to 101mm in thickness and sheet sizes up to 3050mm by 2050mm, from which strips are derived. Our production team uses customer-provided drawings, samples, or dimensions to cut strips using on-site saws, presses, or CNC machines, with the option of self-adhesives or foils.

Polycarbonate sheets can be machined into strips, but they are also amenable to thermoforming or molding for tailor-made profiles in your application.

    What are Polycarbonate Strips?

Polycarbonate plastic strips serve as versatile seals or insulators, bridging uneven surfaces and gaps, including electrical insulation. As a thermoplastic, they can be repeatedly melted and reshaped. This grade incorporates carbonate chemicals, bolstering strength and impact resistance.

    Why use Polycarbonate Strips?

Polycarbonate, a remarkably durable plastic, is transformed into both transparent and opaque sheets. Remarkably sturdy, these components are often employed as a lightweight substitute for glass, offering a striking 200-fold improvement in impact resistance. Polycarbonate plastic strips are available in various colors, yet they maintain their inherent transparency, a distinctive attribute of this material.

These strips exhibit minimal moisture absorption and exceptional resistance to chemicals. They are also flame retardant and highly resilient against impact damage. Polycarbonate Plastic Strips boast an array of appealing characteristics, rendering them suitable for a wide range of applications where they replace traditional glass and metals. These polycarbonate plastics can be effortlessly machined into precise strips for integration into the electronics, lighting, automotive, and aircraft industries.
