Plastazote Polyethylene Foam Sheets

Plastazote Polyethylene Foam Sheets

One of Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd’s most popular materials is Plastazote foam, a high-quality type of Polyethylene (PE) foam. Available in different densities, grades, and colours, Plastazote foam is manufactured in densities ranging from 15kg to 70kg, referred to as LD15, LD33, LD45, LD60, or LD70.

This closed-cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam is exceptionally lightweight and free from chemical agents, making it suitable for sensitive environments.

Plastazote PE foams are supplied in block form, which can be split into sheets of various thicknesses (1.5mm), and are available in 1m x 1m or 2m x 1m sizes.

With our in-house conversion and lamination services, we can:

  • Split blocks into sheets of varying thicknesses

  • Laminate layers together to produce thick or composite sheets

  • Apply self-adhesives or foil facings.

Our on-site facilities, including presses, log cutters, strippers, bandsaws, and oscillating knives, allow us to produce a wide range of Plastazote products from sheets, including gaskets, washers, strips, pads, and fabrications.

What are Plastazote Polyethylene Foam Sheets?

Plastazote, like other polyethylene foams, is manufactured in block or ‘bun’ form across a range of densities. These blocks are often split into sheets, giving customers the flexibility to cut their own strips, gaskets, washers, and components as required.

Plastazote foams are high-quality, cross-linked, closed-cell polyethylene. Manufactured using crude oil with nitrogen expansion, this process produces a rigid, flexible material that is impermeable to air and moisture, preventing liquids from passing through or being absorbed.

Why use Plastazote Polyethylene Foam Sheets?

Plastazote foam is a low-density material, making it easy to split into sheets. Despite its low density, it offers:

    • Excellent recovery after compression

    • Resistance to chemicals, solvents, acids, alkalies, and some oils

    • Lightweight and chemical-free, suitable for clean environments such as food, pharmaceutical, and scientific applications

    Different Grades of Polyethylene Available

With a strong network of manufacturers and suppliers, ASG offers a full range of polyethylene materials, many available from stock for quick turnaround. Popular types include:

    • Polyethylene (Block Foam)

    • Anti-static

    • Ethafoam

    • EVA Foam

    • Flame Retardant

    • Chemically Cross-linked

    • Plastazote (densities 15kg – 70kg)

    • Stratocell
