What are Pyramid Rubber Matting Sheets?
Pyramid Rubber Matting sheets feature a textured surface of small pyramid-shaped nodules, providing an extremely effective non-slip surface even when wet. These mats are often used on high-footfall ramps, steps, walkways, and other damp areas.
Pyramid matting is primarily manufactured using NR/SBR rubber, but can also be produced in alternative compounds such as Nitrile, EPDM, or Neoprene. These materials provide additional properties such as fire, oil, or electrical resistance, making the mats suitable for a wide range of environments and applications.
Why use Pyramid Rubber Matting Sheets?
Pyramid Rubber Matting sheets offer hard-wearing, non-slip, and easy-to-clean surfaces, making them ideal for walkways, stairs, ramps, and other high-traffic areas. They also offer anti-fatigue benefits for operators who stand for extended periods, helping to reduce strain and improve comfort.
When supplied in sheet form, these mats can cover large areas or be cut into smaller pads for specific spaces, workstations, or bespoke applications.
Benefits of Using Pyramid Rubber Matting
- Extremely non-slip, even when wet
- Easy to clean and maintain
- Provides insulation from cold floors
- Non-porous, resisting moisture, odours, and bacterial growth.
- Can be cut into bespoke shapes and sizes
- Aesthetically appealing pyramid design
Advantages of Using Pyramid Rubber Matting Sheets
Pyramid Rubber Matting sheets offer numerous advantages for both safety and practical use. They provide insulation from cold floors, protect work and walking surfaces, and are highly slip-resistant. The non-porous material ensures hygiene by preventing moisture absorption and bacterial growth.
These mats are available in multiple thicknesses for medium- to very-heavy-duty applications. Depending on the type of rubber used, they can offer electrical insulation, oil resistance, or flame resistance. Pyramid matting is suitable for a wide range of applications, including walkways, shops, warehouses, ice rinks, theme parks, bars, clubs, and outdoor play areas.
Sheet form makes handling lighter, reduces material waste, and allows for easy customisation to fit specific spaces or projects.
