Commercial Rubber Sheet

Commercial Rubber Sheets

Advanced Seals & Gaskets Ltd supplies high-quality commercial SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) sheets. This cost-effective material is a versatile alternative to natural rubber, commonly used in industrial, automotive, and general-purpose applications.

Our commercial rubber is available in roll form (1.4m wide x 10m long) with thicknesses starting from 1mm. We can cut these rolls into sheets of 1 meter or 2 meters in length, or convert them into finished parts such as gaskets, washers, strips, and pads using our on-site machining and laminating facilities.

    What are Commercial Rubber Sheets?

Commercial rubber sheets (SBR) are economy-grade synthetic rubber, black in colour, known for:

    • High wear resistance

    • Flexibility at low temperatures

    • Durability in general-purpose applications

SBR can also be blended with other polymers, such as Neoprene (CR/SBR), EPDM (EPDM/SBR), or Nitrile (NBR/SBR), to enhance specific properties, providing customers with a more cost-effective alternative to premium rubbers.

Sheets are typically available in hardnesses of 60, 65, and 70 Shore A, allowing flexibility for different applications. Customers often purchase sheets to cut their own strips, gaskets, washers, and pads on demand.

    Why Use Commercial Rubber Sheets?

Commercial rubber sheets are a cost-effective, general-purpose material ideal for applications requiring:

    • High tensile and impact strength

    • Resistance to abrasion

    • Flexibility at low temperatures

These sheets are suitable for wear strips, impact buffer pads, scraper blades, hoses, belts, gaskets, and seals. Please note that SBR sheets are not ideal for applications involving chemicals, ozone, strong acids, grease, fats, or hydrocarbons.

    Benefits of Commercial Rubber Sheets

    • Excellent resilience and tensile strength

    • Strong sealing capabilities against air, water, and diluted mixtures

    • Durable abrasion and impact resistance

    • Wide temperature range: -20°C to +70°C

    Grades of Commercial Rubber Available

Advanced Seals & Gaskets works with multiple material manufacturers, providing customers with a range of options. Available grades include:

    • CR/SBR (Neoprene/SBR): Combines neoprene and SBR for a durable, low-cost alternative to premium rubbers. Ideal for gap sealing, dust seals, and outdoor applications. Offers resistance to oils, grease, dilute acids, and alkalis.

    • NBR/SBR (Nitrile/SBR): A hybrid rubber suitable for general-purpose gasketing, resistant to fuels, petroleum, oils, and many solvents, perfect for industrial environments.

    • EPDM/SBR: Combines EPDM and SBR to deliver high tensile strength, tear resistance, and weather/ozone durability. Commonly used for pipe seals, weather strips, and dust seals.

    Applications of Commercial Rubber Sheets

SBR commercial rubber sheets are widely used across industrial, automotive, and construction applications due to their durability, flexibility, and resistance to wear. They are ideal for:

    • Manufacturing gaskets and seals

    • Wear strips and scraper blades.

    • Impact buffer pads and industrial belts

    • Outdoor sealing and dust sealing applications

These sheets are popular with customers who convert materials into bespoke components, helping reduce waste and material costs.
